At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, a new client came to us with an urgent problem: they were having major issues connecting teams remotely and were experiencing multiple malware/ransomware attacks. We jumped into action.
After a speedy but thorough review, we determined that the Alberta-based organization’s infrastructure was poorly architected, although its equipment was high quality and powerful. The problem was that the previous IT support had created an overly complicated on-premise server infrastructure that was not conducive to their business model (they have multiple satellite offices across the province).
Once the former cumbersome and expensive internal IT setup was replaced by the much leaner and forward-thinking LAN Solutions team, we swiftly implemented improvements by moving the organization to Microsoft 365 and trained staff on the use of Teams, SharePoint, etc. And that meant teams were able to securely, safely and efficiently work from wherever they needed to, without interruption.
