Remote Site Connectivity · Calgary & Alberta
Remote site connectivity for your field teams
Your people need the right information where the work happens. We help connect job sites, remote offices and mobile technicians to the files and business tools they use, in your head office or the cloud.

Working away from the office
What is remote site connectivity?

Remote site connectivity means giving people working away from your main office a dependable way to reach business information. That could be a construction trailer outside Calgary, a house you're building in a new development or a technician moving between customer locations. The connection needs to reach the tools they use, not just show an internet signal on their phone.
We help plan and support the link between those people and your business. Some teams need access to files stored at head office. Others use cloud services, which are applications and files hosted online rather than on a computer in your building. Often it's a mix. We look at both ends so an internet connection at the job site doesn't leave staff stuck at the next step.
The business problem is usually familiar. Someone needs the latest drawing, but the download won't finish. A technician has completed a job, but can't update the record until they get home. Office staff spend their afternoon sending attachments and answering calls for information people should be able to find themselves. We work on those delays, with a setup built around the work being done.
No connection works equally well in every part of Alberta. Available service, the building and the number of people sharing it all matter. We'll explain the limits of the options before recommending one. If a location has poor coverage, you need to know that while you're planning the job, not after the crew arrives.
What changes for you
Less waiting between the office and the field
Current information on site
Your crew can reach the drawings, instructions and records the office is using. That reduces the chance of work going ahead from an old attachment and helps people check a change before it becomes rework.
Fewer trips back to the office
Staff shouldn't need to return to a desk to download a file or finish an update. We help them reach the tools they need from the job site, so more of the working day stays with the job.
Less chasing for updates
When field staff can enter information where they work, the office has less catching up to do. Completed work can reach the people handling the next booking or invoice without another round of phone calls.
Costs that fit the project
A temporary site has different needs from a permanent branch. We help you compare equipment and service costs against the life of the job, including what you can move to the next location and what you're committed to paying.
Where the work happens
Your people shouldn't have to drive back to the office just to get the information they need to do their job.
What’s included
What we look after
We look beyond the internet bill. Your people need a connection, a device that works and permission to reach the right information. The work we agree with you depends on the location and the tools you use. These are the areas we look at together.
A review of the site and the work
We ask where the site is, how long you'll be there and how many people need access. Then we look at what they'll be doing online. Sending job notes is different from opening large drawing files or joining video meetings. Those details guide the connection you need.
Internet options for the location
We compare the available wired, cellular and satellite options where appropriate. Cellular uses a mobile network; satellite connects through equipment with a suitable view of the sky. Availability and performance vary by address. We help you understand the trade-offs and coordinate with providers rather than assume every site has the same choices.
A connection people can use on site
Getting internet to the building is only part of the job. We plan how Wi-Fi, the wireless connection inside the site, will reach the places people actually work. Walls, trailers and equipment can affect coverage. We also consider where equipment can be safely installed and powered.
Access to head office information
If your files or business software live at head office, we plan a protected way for approved staff to reach them. That may include a VPN, an encrypted connection back to your office network. We also check the office's connection, because a slow upload there can hold up everyone working remotely.
Cloud tools and shared files
We help people reach the cloud applications your business already uses and sort out access to shared information. We check where the current version of a file belongs, so field staff aren't choosing between several emailed copies. Moving everything to the cloud isn't automatically the answer; the right approach depends on your work.
Devices for mobile technicians
A technician may work from a phone, tablet or laptop across several locations in a day. We help set up business access on the devices you agree to support and check how they behave away from office Wi-Fi. We'll also review data allowances so unexpected mobile charges don't become a regular surprise.
Protection for business access
We review who needs access and keep it limited to their work. Multi-factor authentication adds a second sign-in check, such as an approval on a phone, to a password. We also plan how access is removed when someone leaves and what to do if a work device is lost.
Support and a plan for interruptions
We agree how staff report connection problems and help work out where the fault is. We can assess a second connection when an outage would stop the job, but it needs to be practical for the location. We also plan what happens to equipment and accounts when a site closes or moves.
The people you work with
Starting with how your people work
We talk with the people at the desk and the people out on site. A connection that works for email might struggle with drawings or your scheduling software. Knowing what your staff actually need helps us choose a setup that fits the job.

The LAN partnership
One team for the office and the field
When someone can't open a file on site, they don't need to figure out which company to call first. The problem might be the internet provider, their device or the way the file is shared. We help trace it and coordinate with the provider when the issue is outside the equipment we manage. You'll know who's dealing with it and what the next step is.
We keep the office and field setup in the same conversation. Your office manager may be worried about duplicate records while your site supervisor is worried about a download that takes too long. Both are useful details. We ask how the work passes between them, then look at what would make that handoff easier.
You'll also get a clear explanation of what we're recommending and why. We won't describe a location as covered without checking the available service. Some decisions need a site assessment or a provider's confirmation. We'll say so, and help you compare the costs with the time your people are losing today.
How it works
Getting your people connected
Discover
We talk through your locations, the people working there and what they need to access. We ask where connection problems are costing time, including the extra work they create for office staff.
Assess
We review available service and your existing business tools. You get practical options with their costs and limits, including any checks needed at the site before a decision.
Connect
We arrange the agreed setup and test the tasks staff actually do. Opening a drawing or submitting a job record tells us more than simply checking that the internet is on.
Support
We help with day-to-day problems and review the setup when the work changes. As crews move or a project ends, we plan what to reuse and which services to cancel.

Who we work with
When remote connectivity makes sense
This service fits builders and developers whose work happens away from their main office. A temporary site office might need shared drawings and access to project software for several months. A small crew working on a house may need something lighter. We help you avoid buying a permanent-office setup for a short job, or relying on one person's phone for a whole team.
It also fits businesses with mobile technicians. If staff need to check a schedule, look up a customer record or submit work notes between visits, their access needs to follow them. A sensible setup can reduce the admin that piles up at the end of the day and give the office a clearer view of completed work.
You don't need to be opening a new location. If an existing remote office regularly loses access to head office, or your team has started working around unreliable service, we can review what's causing the problem. We start with the work being held up and help you decide what is worth changing.
Frequently asked questions
Remote site connectivity FAQ
01Can you help connect a temporary construction site?
Yes. We look at the address, project length and what the crew needs to access, then assess the available connection options. We also consider equipment you can take to the next job and service contracts that may outlast the project.
02Can field employees access files stored at head office?
We can help set up protected access for approved employees. The approach depends on your office systems and the software involved. We check both the remote connection and the head office connection, then test the files and tasks staff need.
03What if there isn't wired internet at the job site?
We can assess cellular or satellite service where available. Neither is suitable everywhere. Coverage, installation requirements and the work you need to do all affect the choice. We'll explain those limits before you commit to a service.
04Can you support technicians who move between customer sites?
Yes. We help plan access on agreed business devices so technicians can reach schedules, records and other work tools while travelling between jobs. We review mobile coverage and account access, rather than treating them like staff who always work from one building.
05Do we need to move everything to the cloud?
No. Some businesses keep software or files at head office, and others use cloud tools. We review what you have and how field staff use it. A change should solve a work problem and justify its cost, not happen just because the cloud is an option.
06What happens if the site's internet goes down?
We help diagnose the issue and coordinate with the provider where needed. We can assess a backup connection in advance if losing access would stop work. A backup still depends on available service, power and equipment, so we don't promise uninterrupted connectivity.
07Can we reuse the equipment at our next development?
Often, but we check the next location before assuming the same setup will work. Available service and coverage may be different. We help plan the move, review contracts and remove access that the old site no longer needs.
08What does remote site connectivity cost?
It depends on the location, number of users and the information they need to reach. Equipment, provider charges and support all affect the total. We work through those costs with you and separate one-time purchases from ongoing bills before you make a decision.
